I am pleased to welcome you to the 1st National Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation Conference, which will be held at the Le Meridien Hotel, Putrajaya, on 5-7 October 2023. The conference is being organized by the Malaysian Cardiothoracic Anaesthesiology and Perfusion Society (MASCAP). The conference’s theme is “Challenges in the ECMO Wave”.
The 1st National Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation Conference aims to provide information and education regarding the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation techniques used for supporting organ systems and serve as a platform for sharing best practices in this field. It is an inclusive opportunity for anyone who plays a vital role in providing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation care.
The Scientific Committee has invited distinguished local and overseas speakers to present and discuss scientific questions, achievements, issues, and challenges relevant to extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. As this is the first extracorporeal membrane oxygenation conference, the scientific program was prepared at the basic and intermediate levels. I believe this conference will offer exciting plenaries, symposia, abstracts, and workshops.
